Director of Data, Planning & Accountability 


Julia Senerchia was born in Brookland in Washington, DC. She moved to Tucson, Arizona when she was very young and stayed there through her undergraduate degree. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arizona in 2005. She then moved back to Washington, DC to pursue her MEd in Elementary Education from George Washington University. Julia graduated from George Washington University in 2008 as part of the Literacy Cooperative program which aims to improve urban education. She began working at Stokes in 2008 as a Pre-K teacher. She moved onto teaching first grade in 2010. Then, in 2012, Julia transitioned into her current role as Director of Data and Accountability.


She now lives just half a block from the house she lived in as a small child in Brookland. Julia enjoys reading novels and advice columns, baking, and sewing in the little bit of spare time she doesn’t spend playing with her daughter, Cora.
