How to Help
Stokes School is dedicated to providing the best possible education to each one of our students. This means a commitment not only to ensuring academic excellence but to maintaining crucial programs such as our award-winning Wellness Initiative, comprehensive support for parents, and our emphasis on community service.
Stokes School’s success depends in large part upon the generosity of community members who provide financial and volunteer support. It is that crucial support that allows us to provide our students with unique opportunities like the International Study Tour to Martinique and Panama for 5th graders; that support also allowed us to move to our beautiful new facility. But there is still a great deal that needs to be done.
Give Time
Stokes volunteers work on a wide range of activities, including serving as a mentor or room parent, working in the Stokes Garden, fundraising, making classroom presentations, and making Spanish and French instructional materials – and that’s just to name a few! While some of our in-person activities have been impacted by the COVID pandemic, our need for volunteers remains.
Volunteer commitments may be year-long, short-term or one-time. To learn more about volunteering at Stokes School, contact our Family Engagement Coordinator. Brookland Campus: Ana Maria Donado / East End Campus: Meron Benn
Give Financial Support
The recent years presented sudden and unexpected challenges to the school and to our community. These challenges only increased our appreciation for the school community that we have created over the last two decades.
As we continue to move into a “new normal”, we have to continually invest in new ways of educating our scholars. Your donation will help us provide technology, curriculum investment, and other critical support for students so that they can receive a quality and seamless education during a pandemic.
