Art Teacher

Tiffanie Jackson was born and raised in Washington, DC (Anacostia area). She attended Eastern H.S. and the University of the District of Columbia, with a Major in Elementary Education and a Minor in Child Psychology.  Shortly after she went on to pursue her other true passion, which was Art and obtained an Associates in Visual Arts/Occupational Science.  Before she could even enroll to obtain her Bachelor’s, she was offered a position through the University of Chicago’s Charter Schools, coordinating and maintaining a Graphic Arts After-school Program. Although the contract was only for a year, her love for the school and the city itself, forced her to stay for 9 years before she moved back to her hometown. She loves spending time with her 5 yr. old daughter and they both enjoy family gatherings and functions.  In her free time, she makes jewelry, paints, hosts painting parties for both kids and adults, and endures in Arts and crafts when and where ever she is able.  She hopes to someday have her own Art gallery so that she may display work of youth, who are artistically inclined and share the same passion for Art as she does.
