ADRIENNE WATERS

Teacher: PreK English

 

Adrienne Waters is a proud Southerner from Augusta, Ga. She relocated to Washington, D.C. to study Human Development and Early Childhood Education at Howard University. While studying, she worked part-time at various D.C. Public schools before becoming a tutor and a summer school teacher’s assistant at Stokes. Upon completing her Master’s program, Adrienne worked in Virginia as an Early Childhood Education Teacher.


 

Mrs. Waters' teaching philosophy begins with the importance of being an ethical educator, and is further influenced by the theorists Vygotsky, Piaget, Maslow, and Howard Gardner. She believes that learning should be fun, and that all students can achieve with scaffolding, exposure, and nurture. In her spare time, Mrs. Waters enjoys baking, traveling, dancing, and sharing quality time with family and friends.
