Chef Christopher Headecker, is a prime example of a person who decided to pursue his passion and completely change his career direction. Chris attended Winston Salem State University, for a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. It wasn’t until his junior year that he realized what he really wanted to do in life. After completing his matriculation at WSSU, Chef Chris moved back home, and decided to enroll in the Culinary Program, at Carlos Rosario International School, here in Washington, DC.
Chris interned at the Elsie Whitlow Stokes Kitchen, and after years of hard work, Chef Chris is now the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager for Stokes Kitchen.
Christopher Headecker is a very friendly, open, honest, and always willing to lend a hand when needed. Having done a 360 in life, he is always available for a chat about pursuing your dreams with all that you have. “Life is given to us to do what makes us happy, not dwell on the decisions we made because we were scared to take action.”
