BENJAMIN FREY

Teacher: 4th Grade

 

Ben is originally from Galveston, Texas but has lived in the District since 2009, when he began his Masters program in Curriculum and Instruction at American University.  Currently, he teaches 4th grade English in the French and Spanish classrooms. He has taught a range of subjects from 4th - 10th grade.  

 

In the summer of 2015, Ben participated in a Fund for Teachers grant that enabled him to travel through northern Tanzania in order to observe pressures towards urban migration, as a way to better teach students about the issue.  When Ben isn't teaching his enjoys photography, cycling, and spending time with his family.
