Stokes School was accredited by the Middle States Association in spring of 2003.
   
Stokes School has been the DC Winner of the Do Something National Kindness and Justice Campaign for six years running.
   
Stokes School is the DC Small Site Champion for the Reading is Fundamental Read With Me Challenge for three years running.
   
Stokes School initiated a student led neighborhood clean-up project, prompting the DC City Council to proclaim them “Kids with the Solution to Pollution.”
   
Stokes School scholars Stanford-9 scores have increased consistently since 2001.
   
Stokes School implements an innovative language immersion program to teach children how to speak, read, write, and learn in two languages: English and French or English and Spanish.
   
Stokes School prepares scholars to be responsible citizens within a multicultural society, with a diverse student body and a talented faculty from twenty different nations.
   
Stokes School has a model program for after-school enrichment, including special tutoring services as well as sixteen different extracurricular clubs, from journalism club to science club to book clubs.
   
Stokes School’s sixth grade graduates have been admitted to an impressive collection of middle schools in Washington, DC, including Academia Bilingue de la Comunidad, Paul and SEED Public Charter Schools; Deal Junior High School; Sacred Heart, San Miguel, and the Washington Jesuit School; The Maret School, Rock Creek International, Sidwell Friends, St. Alban, and Washington International School.
